Explained how to install third party or custom module in odoo. Here in this video, we are using Odoo App store and Odoo v17 for showing how can we download school management system(Third party module) module and use it in our Odoo on-premise server.

Adding Third Party Module in Odoo
To add a third-party module in Odoo, follow these steps:
Create a directory: Create a new directory to store all your third-party modules. This directory should be specified in the addons_path configuration option in your Odoo configuration file (odoo.conf).
Specify the directory in odoo.conf: Update the addons_path option in odoo.conf to include the path to your new directory. For example:
addons_path = /path/to/your/third-party/modules
Ensure Odoo running user has access: Make sure the Odoo running user has read and write permissions to the new directory.
Copy the module: Download the third-party module and copy it to the specified directory.
Restart Odoo service: Restart the Odoo service to apply the changes.
Update app list: From the Odoo user interface, update the app list to include the new module.
Install the module: Look for the module in the updated app list and install it.
Additional Notes
Third-party applications can only be installed on Odoo.sh and on-premise hosting types, and cannot be installed on Odoo Online.
For Odoo Cloud (SaaS), customizations or extra features can be achieved through technical features or Odoo Studio, but installing third-party modules is not possible.
When installing a new module, ensure you have developer mode activated and log in as an admin user.
