Iterative Incremental Model is also called as iterative incremental method of system development.
Also in many books this SDLC Model is also referred as Iterative Enhancement Model(Method).
Iterative Incremental model is the SDLC Model in which a partial implementation is done initially (of a total system) so that the increment will be in a deliverable state can be given to the customer. Functionality is increased by adding modules in every iteration. Defects or errors are removed from the increment prior delivery before the working product is actually delivered. The process or iterations are repeated until the final product is developed and the customer is satisfied. Each iteration is the repetitions of these processes. An increment of the product is delivered at the end of each iteration.
