In this video, I discuss the inaugural article of History and Theory (1960) with Dr Yasir Noori, Research Fellow and nanotechnology expert at the University of Southampton. We discuss the concept of "science" and "theory" as well as the aims of the Scientific History movement of the nineteenth century. We then move onto the perceived differences between the sciences, traditional historiographical practice and modern History and what the future might hold for the idea of scientific history.
