Acanthocoris scaber is a species of leaf-footed bug in the order Hemiptera. It is a crop pest in China.A. scaber has been found to feed on many vegetable species in China, especially chili peppers.A. scaber is found mainly in South and Southeast Asia.It is diurnal.They are parasitised by the parasitic wasps from the genus Gryon, especially by Gryon ancinla. They lay shiny orange-red eggs underneath leaves,especially under the host plants such as chilli peppers.
