'It's really gone down': Family members ask for permanent solution for Jackson County cemetery
Family members are calling for change at an unincorporated Jackson County cemetery in need of a new long-term owner. Highland Cemetery, located near East 23rd Street and Blue Ridge Boulevard, holds the gravesites of some of Kansas City's most notable black residents. Family members say the cemetery needs a lot of work.
