"Bay City Blues" TV Intro
TV producer-writer Steven Bochco is known for having created such landmark series as "Hill Street Blues" and "NYPD Blue." But in October 1983 he launched this small but often moving NBC comedy-drama series about a minor-league baseball team in Southern California. Although the cast included such stars as Michael Nouri, Dennis Franz, Sharon Stone, Michelle Greene, and Ken Olin, "Bay City Blues" lasted only eight episodes and led to Bochco being fired from MTM Enterprises, the company that had supported some of his most noteworthy shows.
