About the Video:
This is A Fail To Wake's (AFTW) Band Cover of Killswitch Engage's song, My Curse. This was taken on June 2010 in a recording/rehearsal studio along Katipunan, QC. Sorry for the bad video/audio quality. If you're wondering why only the drums are focused on this video, it's because we need to place the cam on the part of the room where the sound of every instrument will be balanced (aside from the fact that I own the camera). I just decided to face the camera to me. :))
About playing the song:
This is the first KSE song that we covered. At first, I really had a hard time learning this song. It was my first encounter with this kind of song and at first I thought that I can't play this song. However, with the help and encouragement of my bandmates (PAGSURE!), I was able to learn it but I changed some parts. Up to now I can't perfect this song because my feet are inconsistent in playing the pre-chorus breakdowns especially of I play it after months without practice(DUH?!). HAHA.
A little history:
The four of us [Reyhan Lee, Ace Manaloto, Paolo Violan, and Martin Cedeño (curlykulottiedrums)] we're bandmates since fourth year high school. We decided to look for a vocalist online and we held auditions on May 2010 in the same studio. That's where we met Zoren and formed AFTW. :)
About the band:
A Fail to Wake was formed on June 2010. I think this band cover was made on our first/second band practice. Back then, we practice only once (or if we're lucky, twice) a month because we study at different Universities. I think for a first or second band practice, we did well with this one. :) Now, we are not playing together anymore because of our busy schedules. We also have our own bands in our current locations and play on different gigs. I'm still looking forward in playing again with these awesome guys.
