In September 2012, AvtoZAZ management decided to transfer bus production from the Ilyichevsk Automobile Components Plant to MeMZ.[30] Bus production began in April 2015.[31] The plant also continued to manufacture engines, produce vans, and assemble chassis. In September 2015, the plant employed 500 people.[32] In 2020, the number of employees was 75. In 2021, UkrAvto Corporation sold the lower platform of the plant. On May 16, a fire occurred at the plant.
