I try to keep these shorts under a minute, so some of the nuances are maybe hard to get or edited out. I get a support question about this issue on average twice a week.
In this case the message I want to get across is:
𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐚 𝐂𝐃𝐉 𝐔𝐒𝐁 𝐨𝐧 𝐚 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐤𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐛𝐨𝐱 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, which is a dope and useful feature, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐤 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞.
The erasing is not new, it is something that 𝐜𝐚𝐧 (is not the same as 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥) happen if the USB was created using the SyncManager in Rekordbox.
If the host Rekordbox is also using SyncManager with a particular setting enabled
𝙍𝙚𝙠𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙗𝙤𝙭 - 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙨 - 𝘿𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚 - 𝘿𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙩𝙚 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙨
That setting keeps USBs 100% in sync with the playlist(s) in the collection, but also can cause the issue.
What I demonstrate is 100% safe and a precaution from erasing accidentally.
