What to Learn BLENDER OR MAYA ?
Q & A : Maya or blender, as other say blender just for hobbies. No blender is not only for hobbies it is proven tool which can do a lot of work what other 3D packages can offer. and if you HAVE SUCH QUESTION which software you need to learn then my answer is blender. As if you need to do learn something specific, then you will go to that solution.

where people talking about the blender, which wont be a standard later etc.. remember Maya had competitor 3d max, and Maya later on was bought by Autodesk... Houdini jump in to the industry very fast, Softimage just died ? what I want to say we can quest what and when will happen, but blender very close to the big industry doors, so if you mastered blender, do not care about the Maya.
