Use Importing Materials to add materials from the database so they are available when creating construction elements in the project.
Importing Materials
Open the Project Information tab in the overview side panel.
Click Manage Databases.
Select the Materials tab.
Locate materials by:
Browsing the list, or
Using the Search Bar.
Check the box next to the material(s) you want to import.
Choose Import Destination
Current Project – Active project only
User – Personal user profile
Organization – Available to all users
Import Options
Import Selected – Imports checked materials
Import All – Imports all materials in the current tab
Import All Tabs – Imports all materials from every tab
Result
Once imported, the materials will be available for use during construction when creating: Walls, Openings, Top-of-Wall conditions, Vertical schedules
