Puma Deviate Nitro Elite Review: The best value carbon racing shoe?
The Deviate Nitro Elite sits at the top of Puma’s new range as the thoroughbred carbon racing shoe. It has a nitrogen-infused PEBA midsole plus a full length carbon plate, and a generous if not maxed-out 36mm stack. It’s built to take on the very best shoes in the world and it does so while coming in a little cheaper than most carbon options at £170 / $200 / €200.
So how does the Deviate Nitro Elite stack up against the rest of the carbon competition? Run Tester Nick has been putting it through its paces during his marathon training, and also used it for a 5K race. Here’s his verdict on the Big Cat’s top dog.
