Zoom hit the headlines recently when the boom in Zoom use thanks to Covid-19 meant that more people became aware of their alarmingly broken encryption.
We all want our Zoom conversations to remain private, but without end-to-end encryption (edit: now introduced) you're vulnerable to malicious hackers. The protocols being used to encrypt Zoom videos are using the AES encryption algorithm in ECB mode.
So, why is ECB mode so bad?
