In this short video, I show the difference between soldering a terminal with a low-power and a high-power soldering iron.
A low-power soldering iron simply doesn't heat the metal—the solder falls off and doesn't hold.
But if you use a more powerful soldering iron with a thick tip, the solder melts immediately, flows perfectly, and the terminal and wire can be tinned without any problems.
