The song I Sing of the Party, written in 2010, has spread rapidly among the people as soon as it was given out. Everyone likes this song as it depicts the emotions of the Korean people truthfully.
The Korean people now take to the WPK like their mother's bosom. Since the first day of its foundation, the WPK has been serving the people, bearing full responsibility for their political integrity and destiny. All the Party policies reflect the wishes and aspirations of the people.
In the period of the Arduous March and forced march when everything was running short, the Korean people had to go through severe ordeals: the factories stopped operation and the food and power situation was serious. Nevertheless, the free medical care and compulsory education systems were in force and children could go camping, singing songs merrily.
The tender care of the WPK reached every family. It knew their living conditions in detail and solved knotty problems for them. In those difficult days, the WPK became embedded deep in the hearts of the people as their spiritual mainstay.
Like a mother taking care of her children, the Party was more concerned about the people with worries on their minds, caressing and encouraging them. Its love for all people leading them to enjoy a worthy life free of care brought about their boundless trust in and admiration for it. In answer to the love and benefits of the Party, people volunteered to go and work on socialist cooperative farms and in underground stalls of mines, where they achieved miracles and exploits and the Party acknowledged them all as heroes.
The song is now heard everywhere, not only in Changjon Street where ordinary working people have received newly-built luxury apartment flats but also at the Dolphinarium and Wading Pool newly built in the picturesque Rungna Islet. The song makes a deep impression on the minds of people for the ardent love for and trust in the WPK expressed in every line of it, the Party that has brought valuable welfare to the people by overcoming all trials.
Singing the song from the bottom of their hearts, the Korean people are now working hard for the building of a prosperous country.
