When we talk about healthy food, one of the most common arguments is that healthy foods are more expensive.
But don't be fooled: if you consider that healthy eating can and should be simpler, you'll see that it's possible to save even on preparation time, monetary value, and with immeasurable health benefits.
This question always comes up in my lectures: Once, someone divided the chart in two, and while I was answering the question, they listed the costs of their food before and after changing their habits. Do you know what the result was? Healthy eating was three times cheaper, not including expenses on medication and time wasted looking for doctors...
Tips:
Increase your consumption of fruits and seasonal vegetables, which are healthier and cheaper.
Cook your own meals more often; avoid foods that others have prepared with the intention of making money.
If necessary, freeze food to have it available out of season.
Don't skip the first meal of the day.
If possible, have a small vegetable garden.
Plan your shopping and weekly menu.
