Messiaen's Modes of Limited Transposition aren't as scary as they seem. They form very clear shapes on the fretboard which can be visualised easily with a bit of practice!
Most of these scales work best over dominant and altered chord contexts but they will work elsewhere too so experiment with them wherever your ear sees fit! #shorts
