Popov Alexander Stepanovich (1859-1906) in 1882 received a PhD in physics and worked as a teacher. In parallel with his professional activities, he was engaged in research in the field of electrical engineering. It is mistakenly considered the inventor of radio, since at that time many scientists of the world made similar discoveries, many of them did not claim inventions. In 1895, Popov publicly presented his radio communication project, but he failed to patent it. The authorship is attributed to the Italian radio engineer Marconi, who registered the invention in 1896.
