Using Tomcat in a cluster and in the cloud. We start to look how to configuration tomcat to get a cluster and then we look to the problems and solutions to have distributed application running in the cloud.
A demo of a cluster will prepared and run during the presentation and the application will be moved to the cloud
There are several cloud providers we will look how to use the most current ones to get session replication working correctly.
About Jean-Frederic Clere
Jean-Frederic has spent more than 20 years writing client/server software. His knowledges range from Cobol to Java, BS2000 to Linux and /390 to i386 but with preference to the later ;). He is committer inHttpd and Tomcat and he likes complex projects where different languages and machines are involved. Borne in France, Jean-Frederic lived in Barcelona (Spain) for 14 years. Since May 2006 he lives in Neuchatel (Switzerland) where he works for RedHat in the JBoss division.
