Q&A with Max Fuentes
Max Fuentes, who started his career with the Sacramento Municipal Utility District in 1984, has led and directed crews as a line foreman and retired five years ago as a Grid Asset Line Supervisor-Business Operations. He has also served as the president and vice president of two post-secondary vocational training schools for lineworkers.
As part of Weducation Wednesday of Lineman Celebration Week, sponsored by SensorLink and IFD Corp., T&D World Field Editor Amy Fischbach moderated a Q&A with Fuentes. He answered questions posed by students in the Utility Line Program at Metropolitan Community College Kansas City.
