How to Get Started With Mini Painting!
Getting started with mini painting can be daunting... but here's a place to start. This video is (hopefully) a relatively definitive list of everything you need to get started in the hobby. I'll include it below incase you don't feel like watching the video (pls watch video).
1. A good plastic mini.
2. A good pair of HOBBY clippers. Stay out of that tool box.
3. A sharp hobby knife like an xacto blade. Use the front to shave big nubs and the back to get rid of mold lines.
4. Glue, be plastic or super. Just remember that plastic can melt your project!
5. Primer. Color and brand don’t really matter, but I recommend starting Citadels Chaos black. Or get an airbrush (you should get an airbrush)
6. Paint. Shop around try different brands and don’t get too many to start with
7. Paint brush. A set of nice synthetics and a singular kolinsky sable hair brush will get you everywhere you need to go. Remember you get what you pay for! Also stay away from citadel brushes. Sorry GW I love you, but your brushes. The white ones are alright though.
8. Texture paste for basing your minis. Go as crazy as you want to.
