This is just a demonstration of the neutron star jump, at Jackson's Lighthouse.
Neutron stars multiple your jump range by 4 times.
Before: 66.46ly / 68.64ly .
After: 271.41ly / 274.55ly
I was ferrying a module to an engineer on this trip, so the jump range was lower than normal.
To auto-route to one in the Galaxy Map, select "Fastest Routes" ► "Use Jet-Cone Boost".
If you are doing a long route, it is highly recommended to use Spansh Neutron Router

When doing this, there is a large exclusion zone around the star. It doesn't always show up, just like it didn't in this video. Aim down towards the end of the one facing away from you, towards the swirly end. If you try to grab one aimed towards you, you'll usually end up hitting the exclusion zone.
Never fly into the swirly end, facing towards the star. It will kill you. If you're real lucky, you may be able to jump out immediately towards the next system. You'll have to be quick with the galaxy map, and hope you can hit it right before your FSD fails.
If you don't hit it right, or aren't in it for long, swing around and try again. These stars are really small, cut your throttle, and move slow. Don't go into the exclusion zone.
If you are doing a long trip, like Colonia or Sag A*, you will take damage on every jump. You must have AFMUs. It's recommended that you have two. One for normal repairs. Another to fix the main AFMU. They can't fix themselves. You will also want repair limpets, to repair hull damage. The loadout for long distance exploration will be in another video.
You can also get jump boosts from white dwarfs, but their boost is only 1.5 times. They generally aren't worth the risk and damage that your ship takes.
