Before you learn to code, consider this. Make your programming journey easier!
Few things worth noting before you start your coding journey.
Nothing technical, just small tid bits that may have escaped you. 🙂
1. Should seem obvious, but you'd be surprised:
💥"CODING" is the same thing as "PROGRAMMING"💥
-for someone who's just starting out, it's easy to get confused over the all the terms, professions and areas of expertise. I mean there are many ways to refer to this one skillset: coding, programming, software engineering, software development. 💻 But they're all really just different ways of talking about the same thing.
2. You DON'T need to be good at math OR a computer science expert to get started with coding. ❌️ There are so many options and career choices for programmers and many of them don't involve math or gnarly calculations. ✅️ Perhaps, you're more of a visual learner? Then Frontend Development might be for you - the visual, design aspect of web development. 🧐 A lot of coding doesn't involve math, but it does involve critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze a problem and work your way through it.
3. You shouldn't worry about what programming language to learn in the beginning. Instead, focus on learning the fundamentals and basics of programming such as data structures and algorithms and you'll be able to learn any programming language you want. ✅️
4. Programming is easy to learn but difficult to master. Just like any other skill, you need to put time and effort into your craft. 🕝 Study your fundamentals, build small programs, debug your own code. Whatever you do, just stay busy and stay curious, because there is always more to learn.
