Presto and Cassandra: Doing SQL and Joins on Cassandra Tables
In this webinar, we will introduce Presto and give some background information about what it is and what it can do. We will also discuss how to connect Presto to Cassandra with a live demo to show users how they can do SQL and joins on Cassandra Tables using Presto. This demo will be done locally using Datastax Enterprise for Cassandra, Datastax Studio for importing and using the notebook for the demo, and the Presto server, Presto UI, and Presto CLI. If you choose to use just a local instance of Apache Cassandra to try this demo out yourself, then you can. To do so, you can download the Notebook file here, and open the code.txt file once extracted. You can then copy and paste the CQL commands and queries into a terminal running CQLSH instead of running it in Datastax studio like we will be in this demo.
