My MT Solar Multi Pole Ground Mount with Panasonic Solar Panels
This was my build start to finish. I did the build of the ground mount myself with some assistance from some helpers. I did hire Concreteworks out of Shafer, MN to help me with the footings and setting the poles. The solar panels and wiring was installed by https://www.allenergysolar.com/?mbsy_... I am pleased how it turned out. Directions provided by MT Solar were easy to follow. All the steel bolted together without much difficulty. The only critical dimension was the proper spread of the poles.

The ground mount is easy to tilt. By tilting the solar panels to the proper solar angle will give me more solar power than having the panels on a fixed position. It has snowed since I have installed this, and the snow was easy to remove. The ground mount cost $8000.00 for the heavy duty mount. 2 - 8" 15 ft long Sch 40 Pipe and flanges $800.00. Concrete and backhoe work was $2300.00. SonoTubes $700.00. Moving panels and electrical hook up $7800.00. I know this was expensive but it is probably the best quality, heavy duty mount that will last for many many years. My total cost of gas and electric from Xcel energy in 2019 after solar and renewable energy credits was $156.00. If you want to install one of these systems, check with your local zoning laws. My municipality had several restrictions that I had to comply with to be able to get a building permit.
