Cat6 vs Cat6A Ethernet Cable: What's the difference?
This video describes five differences between cat6 and cat6a cables.
1. Different outside diameters.
CAT6 Cable outside diameter: 6.4 ± 0.2.
CAT6A Cable: 8.0±0.3
2, insulation diameter is different.
CAT6 Cable insulation diameter: 1.02
CAT6A Cable insulation diameter: 1.38
3, the structure of the two is different
4, Different bandwidths.
CAT6 Cable physical bandwidth: 250MHz
CAT6A Cable physical bandwidth: 500MHz
5, the data rate is different.
CAT6 data rate: 1000Mbps;
CAT6A data rate: 10Gbps
