Although I do mention using Quit, I was talking for its general effect.
Please note that certain buffs -- like Chum, Patience (Inefficient Hooking), Fish Eyes, Identical Cast, and Surface Slap -- would end up CANCELED if Quit (or moving) was used.
There are some legitimate uses of Quit for canceling a cast, but not if you want to keep such buffs.
You do have the option to not have it there if the risks outweigh its one (very rare) benefit.
How to use 2-button Patient Macro fishing
Step 1: Fish manually until GP under 400
Step 2: Safe to use Macro fishing
If a cordial is used, back to Step 1
How to use Chum Macro with regular Chum
Step 1: Use chum
Step 2: Don't move/quit
Step 3: Use Cast or Simple Fish macro
Step 4: You can continue with Chum macro from now on
