What is I O mapping in PLC?
IO Mapping & Buffering is a simple practice to implement. It allows a PLC programmer to set up a routine which contains all the inputs & outputs for a given system. This translates to the easier commission of the system, faster troubleshooting & easier fixes if the problem is determined to be one of the points of IO.
What is meant by discrete values?
Discrete data is a count that involves integers — only a limited number of values is possible. This type of data cannot be subdivided into different parts. Discrete data includes discrete variables that are finite, numeric, countable, and non-negative integers
