With tier list being such a hot topic that people either love and hate, I wanted to break down the pros and cons in trying to use them for information and choices. And also the trends and style of 'balancing' taken by Smilegate. Also with the release of Artist, my support video is a little out of date now. I'll probably try to do a small video talking about how it really differs from the other two as extra bits to go with the last one.
After talking to Márcio in the comments, I felt like I should add this as a note. That when talking about the prices, I am strictly talking about the cost of entry into 5x3 builds. I didn't consider talking about gems as part of the cost of entry because my overall opinion in NA is that gems is something you work on over time and not rush. As 5x3 can be a one time investment until Ancient, and then that is a one time investment until who knows when. I also forgot to mention the cost of books, which engraving popularity has a big effect on. If you're curious about the long haul, take a look at my google sheet where you can see the average amount of each type of gem these Engravings use. The amount of damage gen varies overall, and between a classes Engraving. Examples being Arcana uses 3-4(1-2 more than Emperor ) while classes like Deathblade and Igniter use the same amount of damage gems.
