In this video essay I discuss why we can’t forget high school as much as we may try, and why at times we feel nostalgic for that period in our lives (even though for most of us it kinda sucked). I also discuss the teenage dream that Hollywood tries to sell us through high school themed media such as Mean Girls, Disney Channel’s High School Musical, Euphoria, The Breakfast Club, etc.
