Yes’ 1978 album Tormato was supposed to be the triumphant follow-up to Going for the One—but instead, it became one of the band’s most controversial records. Behind the scenes, tensions boiled over: the band hated the album cover so much they literally threw tomatoes at it in protest.
Despite their anger, Tormato still climbed the charts and launched an ambitious world tour. But success came at a cost.
