Breaking Down 100T Busio's Support Azir
In the opening game of the LCS, 100 Thieves’ support Busio pulled out Support Azir - although they lost, I thought it was a really innovative pick, so let’s break it down. In draft, this was picked R3 as an inconspicuous mid lane pick. Because C9 would only assume that it would be mid here, they were drafting the rest of their composition around this, securing a quote unquote good mid lane matchup into Azir. C9 bite the bait and pick Akali into it, as well as Wukong. When they flex the pick R5 to support, this secures a good matchup mid with the Sylas into the Akali, AND secures a good matchup into Heimer, netting them a huge draft advantage.
