In this three-part series, we'll take a closer look at a painting by Jan van Eyck, known to some as "The Arnolfini Wedding." This section is dedicated to a more detailed description of the painting.
In art classes, we usually focus on a comprehensive examination of the painting. This typically consists of three steps/sub-tasks:
describing the painting
analyzing the compositional elements, and
a final interpretation.
