Demystifying Drone Development: From Classroom to Cloud- Maria Ashby, Kubeshop & Michael Hogan, USC
In this presentation, Maria and Michael tackle the challenge of making drone development more inclusive and user-friendly for the general public. They will provide an overview of their experience working with the PX4 community as a college student and a mentor, address debugging challenges, offers suggestions to simplify the QGroundControl software installation process, and emphasize hardware building instructions. By doing so, their goal is to expand the reach of the Dronecode project to diverse audiences. This presentation outlines their year-long project journey, covering initial conception, technology pivot, class deliverables, software installation, hardware building, research paper findings, and proposed enhancements.
