How much is Tesla Energy Business Worth?
We focus so much on what Tesla's auto business is doing, sometimes we get distracted, and don't give as much thought to the potential of Tesla's energy business. We are told that all batteries are prioritized Tesla's EVs (electric vehicles), and that once the batteries have been consumed in the cars, there aren't enough batteries left to grow the energy business anything like we hope.
But obviously Tesla are well aware of this, and doing everything they can to increase their battery supply. They are sourcing as many batteries from as many partners as they can, like Panasonic, LG, and CATL. Tesla are also planning on mass production for their own in-house batteries, like the 4680 batteries, but also their own LFP batteries soon.
So what does all this mean for Tesla's energy business, well namely their battery storage? Well we will work through what Tesla's megapack business could do in the way of revenue and profit, when Tesla have finally broken through vehicle battery constraints, and can ramp up enough batteries to grow the energy business. We will even go into the potential of Tesla's autobidder software. Then will see if we can calculate a valuation for the Tesla's stock price [TSLA].
