This is a really cool tutorial which is a derivative of the EyeOn tut    • Fusion Advanced - Simple UV Unwrapping  . Note, the old EyeOn tutorials are really good; this one is mildly dated and uses a different approach regarding camera projection.

I am shocked Blackmagic has not put more effort in making tutorials like EyeOn did. I am not Andrew Kramer of BM Fusion, but I hope more people share soup to nuts processes/skills/objectives such as this.

I further reference the amazing course at https://vfxstudy.thinkific.com/course... which is well worth the modest course fee.

Basically, if you want to do a remove an object in a scene, this process has layers to it, but overall is very intuitive. Like all my tutorials, mine is long and verbose, but I want to be ultra complete and put steps in context as well as explain the broader utility to each step/process/procedure. A lot of tools and techniques in the tutorial have much broader use and implication. A few skills covered:

-Camera Tracking (note need $300 version of Davinci Resolve, get it, most cost effective software on the planet)
-iterative approach to tracking with point selection.
-setting ground plane (important
-Setting up 3d scene
-Using camera as projector (be sure to use texture projection)
-Using 3d object for watching camera projection on distorted plane.
-pulling render scene from second camera in 3d scene
-painting 2d render with basically cloning tools
-creating second 3d scene and essentially reversing roles of a top view camera and the tracked camera. (have to watch video for this to make sense).

I could have used expressions to control the second 3d scene, but if nothing changes in the first scene (e.g. camera position) then this is not needed.

Enjoy and feel free to comment and plug other tutorials related and such. This is my hobby and is not monetized in any form or manner. If you found any related and complementary resources, feel free to throw them in the comments.
