I recommend the YouTube channel BDD GROUP with house projects - / @bdd_group
In general, initially I built a one-story house, where there was supposed to be a roof made of trusses from ordinary finger-jointed boards with a cold attic. But due to some circumstances, I decided to add an attic to the house. Therefore, the question arose - how to make a ceiling on a span of 7 meters. After all, due to the original idea, I do not have load-bearing partitions and they cannot be made. I went through almost all possible options for ceilings and in my circumstances, the most rational option turned out to be beams from LVL timber. Operation will show whether the beams from LVL timber will justify their high price.
