Terraria - Mechanic
The Mechanic is an NPC that can be discovered whilst exploring a dungeon randomly, which means that skeletron must be defeated before being able to access the mechanic.
The mechanic sells various tools that are used to create "wiring" contraptions in the game which range from a simple light switch to complex traps.
The items that the mechanic sells are:
Lever
Wrench
Wire Cutter
Pressure Plates
Switch
Wire
The Mechanic is used to basically create contraptions using wire, and she can be re-located to your house once you have freed her from the dungeon.
