FIXED BattleEye kicking you out of GTA Online session on CachyOS Linux
✅ FIX (STEP BY STEP)
Step 1: Install Proton BattlEye Runtime
1. Open Steam
2. Go to Library
3. Enable *Tools* (top dropdown)
4. Search for:
👉 `Proton BattlEye Runtime`
5. Install it
Step 2: Set Launch Options
Go to:
Steam → GTA V → Properties → General → Launch Options
Paste this:
```
PROTON_BATTLEYE_RUNTIME={REPLACE WITH YOUR FOLDER PATH} %command%
```
Step 4: Optional DNS Fix (Advanced)
Open terminal:
sudo nano /etc/hosts
Add:
0.0.0.0 paradiseenhanced-s1.battleye.com
0.0.0.0 paradise-s1.battleye.com
0.0.0.0 test-s1.battleye.com
Save:
CTRL + O → Enter
CTRL + X
Step 5: Launch Correctly
1. Start GTA V
2. Enter *Story Mode first*
3. Then go to:
👉 Invite Only Session / Closed Friends Session
