Will Robert Downey Jr. Reprise His Role as Iron Man?
Will Robert Downey Jr. play Iron Man again? It could happen, according to Kevin Feige, the Marvel Studios boss. In an interview with DiscussingFilm, Feige revealed that there are ways to bring back characters and actors in future projects.
Thanks to the multiverse, actors like Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans can have different iterations of their characters. Most recently we’ve seen that play out with Professor Charles Xavier in ‘Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness’ and with Hugh Jackman’s return as Wolverine for ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’
Downey, for one, is down to reprise his role.
‘Happily. It’s too integral a part of my DNA,’ Downey said in a post-Oscar win interview. ’That role chose me. And look, I always say, ‘Never, ever bet against Kevin Feige. It is a losing bet. He’s the house. He will always win.‘’
