Ranking stream orders in QGIS with the Lines Ranking plugin
This video shows how to rank a stream network using the Lines Ranking plugin (available in QGIS 3.14 or newer).
We'll first download a river network from OpenStreetMap using the QuickOSM plugin. Then we'll select the streams that we want to include and clean up the data. After that we dissolve the river layer. With the Lines Ranking plugin we can rank the streams and renumber the orders. Here we used the Strahler order method.
