No matter how many problems we may have with our own mothers, I'm sure any Stephen King fans thank their lucky stars they didn't slide out of Margaret White. An abusive and religious nutcase, she has made Carrie's life a living hell and more than ensured her own place there when the dog bites back and stops her heart.
