PROJECT BRUTALITY 3.0 - The Opening Abyss [100% SECRETS]
Project Brutality 3.0 test build together with Ultimate Torment & Torture, Episode I Opening Abyss made by Tormentor667, difficulty Man and a Half, Chaotic Random spawn preset, 100% Secrets achieved. Before you play this, keep in mind that you have to do some tweaking to run Ultimate Torment & Torture with any gameplay mod because of the compatibility issues to overcome. First you need to open the tutnt-supportive.pk3 file and extract tntres.wad the to open it with Slade and change Gas to something less colliding, like Gas2 and it should work. As for the load order to run all of it properly, the Project Brutality Master file must loaded first, otherwise you will encounter particles not disappearing, very annoying issue. Still, remember that compatibility issues are to be expected, sprite mismatches and some custom monsters are to be found even with sanitized version, still it's good to play. The level itself is quite difficult, you begin in a small courtyard with Super Shotgun in the center, once you pick it, some Imps and Hell Knights will appear. Other rooms in your proximity are already full of monsters, if you want to survive I recommend to trigger as much infighting as possible, Mancubi will obliterate former humans. Once you progress, the Biomes are more and more difficult, remember that a lot of events are scripted, for example the fight against Archviles is in inside a small locked area. The Spider Mastermind and her minions have been buffed here to use a switch that triggers her detonation, it is advised to skip her and reach the trigger instantly. When you have all of 3 Skull Keys, go to the Tech Center and disable the power to open the gate to final area, but be prepared for a small surprise when returning. When you defeat all 4 Mancubi variations, the doors to the Armory of Pain will be opened, pick up everything you missed in this level and go to the exit.
