How to Remove Text from a 3D Print (No CAD Needed | Works in OrcaSlicer & PrusaSlicer)
Ever download a great 3D model—only to find some unexpected text embossed or engraved into the print? In this video, I show you how to remove that kind of embedded text using just your slicer—no CAD skills required.
I’ll walk you through the process step by step in OrcaSlicer, but this technique also works in PrusaSlicer, and maybe even in Cura (though I haven’t tried it there yet). Whether it's a logo, a slogan, or a bit of text that’s just not your style, this quick tutorial will show you how to clean up your print without modifying the STL in a separate modeling program.
This was inspired by a great print from Julien Mairy (aka Printer n’ Beer) that I really liked—except for the little bit of text on the side. No offense to Julien at all—just a personal preference!
