Driven by a passion for creating market-ready IoT solutions, I recently embarked on a journey to design IoT systems tailored for practical applications in homes and offices. While my knowledge of hardware and cloud platforms like Blynk, Arduino Cloud, and Adafruit is strong, I realized that building my own mobile applications from scratch could give me more control and flexibility, eliminating dependencies on third-party services with restrictive free plans.
After researching various app-building platforms, I chose MIT App Inventor to start, and in under 24 hours, I had successfully built my first IoT app to control three devices (demonstrated with LEDs). This hands-on experience was thrilling and motivated me to further develop my skills.
Looking ahead, I am exploring additional platforms to design fully customizable mobile and web apps, and I’m actively researching server-side and front-end technologies to support scalable IoT solutions. My goal is to create systems with local and remote control capabilities that are market-ready and adaptable. I’m excited to see where this journey takes me and welcome any insights on building scalable, user-focused IoT devices.
