COINRULE Coinbase Advanced Tutorial - How to create and set up your API Keys
Hi everyone, here's how to create your API key on your Coinbase pro account.
First, on the top right, click on profile information, and select API.
Here you can select the new API button, or just click on Create one.
Here you will find the API settings, first select default user, and then the permission you want to allow - you need to select trade and view, but there's no need to select Transfer as Coinrule will never asked to withdraw your funds.
Then decide a passphrase. You will be given a default one, but you can change it, let's say, Coinrule - for example.
There is no need for IP whitelist, finally you have to validate the request of API creation by two factor authentication.
So, click send SMS – and make sure your device is nearby.
Click on Create API key. So Coinbase now generated your secret key, click on it to copy.
If you want to save it, do it now as it won't be shown anymore.
Now you can see your API key was just created and is now working. So now let's go back to your coinrule account ----- within the exchanges section, you will select Coinbase Pro from the dropdown exchange list.
Paste your secret key and type the passphrase that you just created. Finally, you will just need to copy and paste your API key.
Click on Save then you will be all set up and ready to trade on Coinbase pro with your coinrule account.
