1AM After Work in China – I Didn’t Expect This
I got off work late and missed the last bus, so I stopped by the roadside for an incredibly affordable and delicious spicy hot pot. Walking the streets of Chongqing at two in the morning, I felt perfectly safe the entire time.
Hardworking food delivery riders could be seen rushing about everywhere, alongside street cleaners quietly tidying up the roads. Over on the cultural and creative street, some girls danced casually, while crowds of people lined the main road enjoying late-night snacks.
It’s reassuring to be out late in this city. After wandering around for a while, I strolled slowly all the way home and arrived safely.
