This video shows how to create a parametric Tekla Model Plugin (component) that imports model data from an external text file. The advantage of using a Tekla Plugin vs. External Application is that Tekla will remember and compare objects that need to be changed between the original insertion and modification of a plugin vs. one time transfers which happen with an external application that just hooks to the currently open session of Tekla.
