He came from the Admiralty Shipyards
And was named "Aurora."
The time has come for the armored cruiser
to show its might.
It sailed into the Battle of Tsushima,
Remained unharmed in the Great War,
But its role in the storming of the Winter Palace
Will be known to the end.
Over the Neva, that blank shot still rings out!
Let its former, combative path never be forgotten!
Having marched for the life of the sea,
The cruiser dropped anchor
Here, where it all began and where an eternal berth awaited!
The main symbol of October
For how many years now
It has maintained its well-deserved eternal peace!
When hell returned to the Fatherland,
Leningrad was encircled by the blockade.
Countless hardships the cruiser endured,
Running aground, caught in fire.
He served faithfully on voyages,
bringing glory to the Baltic Fleet in battle,
But his role in the storming of the Winter Palace
will be known to the end.
Over the Neva, that blank shot still rings out!
Let the former, battle-hardened path never be forgotten!
Having sailed for the life of the sea,
The cruiser dropped anchor
Here, where it all began and where an eternal berth awaited!
The main symbol of October
For how many years now
It has maintained its well-deserved eternal peace!
Over the Neva, that blank shot still rings out!
Let the former, battle-hardened path never be forgotten!
Having sailed for the life of the sea,
The cruiser dropped anchor
Here, where it all began and where an eternal berth awaited!
The main symbol of October
For how many years now...
It has been well-deservedly resting in eternal peace!
