IT CAN BE DONE. I watched all the DIY videos on this subject and then came up with this idea and it worked. The key to draining the cherokee fuel tank is to __ cut the end of your clear plastic siphon hose on a 30-45 degree angle. Make the hose pointed. __ PUSH and SPIN the hose down into the gas fill channel. __ Blow into the hose to see if the other end is down in the gas, you should hear it bubble or gurgle. __ Use an air hose and a loosely held rag to blow air into the tank to start the siphon. I hope I can claim this is the easiest way to drain the Jeep Cherokee XJ gas tank.
